Perhaps unlike many sports learned in school, tennis is a sport for life. The statistics of the age range for playing the game is from 3 and 4 years to at least 95 years of age. The oldest player in last year’s senior world championships was 95!

In the opening match of the Co-operative International Netball test series England made history as they claimed their first victory in 29 years over Australia at the Echo Arena in Liverpool.

Beginning this May, he will paddle out into the Atlantic Ocean in Nova Scotia and begin swimming the first part of the first ever global triathlon. The first leg involves crossing the pond to the French town of Brest, followed by leg 2, cycling across Europe and Asia and finally, leg 3, trekking and running across Canada.

It’s a busy start to 2010 for the England netball team as they take on Australia in the Cooperative International Netball series in February.
