Fitness

Hey.

Im having to do the bleep test for netball trials in a few months. What should i be doing in terms of fitness before hand so i can perform to my best. Also looking for tips on how to turn etc when doing the bleep test.

If you’ve not exercised for a while then it’s going to hurt :)

If you’re going running to get fitness back then try intervals. Run at a steady state for say three minutes, then up the intensity / pace for 2 minutes, then back to steady again. The other one that’s good to try is fartlek. Similar to intervals except you choose when and how long to change pace for - makes it a bit more interesting and you can react to how your body feels.

Both those types of training should help get general fitness and sharpness back - and both will help with bleep test level too...
