batting the ball

Hi i'm new to playing netball have been a bit confused when playing about rules on batting the ball and the ball bouncing? what actually constitutes batting and what is allowed when your gaining control of the ball? if any one can help that would be great :)

Hi.

You can bounce the ball i.e bounce pass and can also bounce the ball once to your self, but only if you dont have controll of it.

Batting the ball?
Not sure what you mean by this, but you can bat the ball to your other team-mates, out notn to yourself.. You can also bat the ball up into the air and catch it when performing a throw up against a player.

Susie I have a friend who just got me interested in netball. I don’t have your answer yet but she actually plays and I will get an answer for you. I haven’t run across that in any of the videos yet. Maybe they don’t have it listed...
