Which players serve is best to imitate?

Hi

i'm new to playing tennis and have found this website really useful. I like watching tennis on Tv too and was wondering whether any body had any advice on which players are good to watch in terms of improving your serve?

cheers

well its best to find your own natural style but i guess federer is technically the best and his 2nd serve is really good too. watch roddick to see how best to generate power, if you can find some footage on youtube then pete sampras would be good to watch, he had one of the bets serves of all time!

Gotta disagree with you. it’s Roddick all day. He has one of the fastest serves to date. You have to give him credit for that. Just because Federer is #1 doesn’t mean he has the fastest serve.

kenjutsu.....Roddick has got a SENSATIONAL serve all right, but then its rather taxing on the body and requires good knee strength. I’d say Federer is better not for the power or speed he gets (which are commendable) but for his consistency and the simplicity of it.
