Hello Intosport,I really want to start hitting more consistent powerful shots. In particular i want to hit on the rise shots. I like rotating my core and stepping into the ball hard for those shots but i can only use them as approach shots. The reason why is because by rotating my core and stepping into my swing I step forward and end up closer to the net. I could always take a few steps back but it is too many steps to get into position before the ball is returned. Like i said, I would like to do this a little more often at the baseline without charging the net or running back. I would also like hitting on the 'extreme' rise by hitting the ball exceptionally low and early. How would I use these shots other than using them for approach shots?Thankyou for your time, Tom.
hey!I guess that you need to have a good rally first and mabye you should to play alot of matches, its useful for your experince,,I just wanna ask, when you practice, do you hit a strong balls?
Hello, Thanks for the advice. In response to your message- yes I try to hit many strong balls. My friend and I have practiced every chance we get since the summer. I’ve gotten a healthy habit of stepping through the balls again. I guess since I’ve practiced,I have grown stronger and faster to recover. I don’t know if this has anything to do with it but we’ve been practicing with year old balls up until a week ago. Thankyou for your support!
Hi stepping into the ball is great. to master it without approaching the net and "to stay" at the baseline is best to practice with something that "stops you" just after the hit so you maintain baseline positionit is best to practice it in slow motion first to get a feel and footwork righttry newest method www.hit-buddy.com I tested and in greatly helps to improve producing power shot by stepping into the shot whilst maintaining baseline positionhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=ZhQZclAZrOMLet me know how it help you to improve
