This exercise is a dynamic warm up for your quadriceps – the large muscle group on the front of your thigh, above your knee.

Start in a comfortable standing position with your head up and back straight. Place your hands behind your back with the backs of your hands against your shorts or training pants.

You begin this exercise by jogging and then gradually extending the length of the backward leg movement towards your hands until you touch your palms with your heels.

Concentrate on keeping your head up, your back straight and maintaining balance all the way through this exercise.
