In this video we’ll look at a dynamic exercise to warm up and loosen the muscles of the groin, the inside of your upper leg and your hips.

Start from a comfortable standing position and walk forward lifting your walking leg up high and rotating it around your body in the direction of your standing leg.

To begin with you can keep your arms down by your sides and keeping the leg lift slow and to about hip height. You can increase the intensity of this warm up exercise by swinging the opposite arm to your moving leg and raising your leg higher as you get warmer. You’ll probably also find that the arm swing helps you stay balanced as you progressively increase the height and rotation of your leg movement.
