In this video guide we’ll show you some practice drills to help you improve your tennis smash. When you have a chance to hit a smash during a game it’s usually a great opportunity to win the point, but the smash can be a difficult shot to hit under pressure so it’s worth taking time to practice.

You’ll need a partner for these drills and you won’t always be able to keep a rally going so it might be easier to feed balls to each other.

Point 2:
Add targets to the court and practice hitting at each and finally ask your practice partner to call a target to hit with each feed.

Remember to vary the position of the feeds so that you develop your smash technique for real game situations.
